"This year's harvest has been delayed two weeks. We only started it the 17th of September! It's been a very humid year with high temperatures during the maturation stage, a very positive situation for the phenolic maturation and tannins levels. Right now, as grapes are being picked, the maximum temperature is between 25-30ºC (77-86 Fº), something that improves the grapes maturation levels. The grape juices have a very good acid-sugar balance and high levels of polyphenols. As per quantities, we expect to harvest 800 tons of grapes. It's still a bit too early to say for certain, but the quality of the juices we're getting makes us think 2007 is going to be an exceptional year."
In our May newsletter we introduced our new gift presentations. Since then, members of our team have been travelling around making presentations, and we have been very pleased with the impressions our gift sets caused. At least the following retailers are already stocking them or will be very soon: Selfridges Department Store in London's Oxford Street, Total Wine & More stores (US), and Henri Bloem's wine shops (Holland).

During the first and second weeks of September Rafael Molezún has been visiting the UK and US. Here you can see a picture of the Alliance Wine team tasting our wines at Alliance's headquarters the 7th of September of 2007.

We'd like to thank Tarcisio Costa and Miguel Jéronimo (owners) for celebrating this dinner with press, retailers, and friends. Also congratulations to Executive Chef Mark Twersky for the great food we had!:
